McSorley's Irish Pale Ale

Beer score: 6.0
Web site: McSorley's Old Ale House
Much, much bitter here, so I'm guessing the hops count is pretty high. It's a smooth bitterness, but still overly strong. There's some very slight caramel texturing in the flavor, but it's overpowered by the bitter. No sweetness here. Despite all that bitterness, it's not a bad brew, though it's also not a remarkable one. Goes down wet with a frothy head, but not an overabundance of carbonation. The Pabst folks brew this for McSorley's Old Ale House in New York City.
