Louie's Evil Lager

Beer score: 6.2
Saloon Brewing Company of New Ulm, Minnesota, put out this beer, but I believe they are no longer in business. The label is most interesting with a picture of a devil or demon pouring himself a brew from a barrel. This is a bitter beer with no sweetness at first, but by the third bottle it's pretty sweet. The bitterness doesn't make this drink overly stoutish. It's wet and smooth. For those who need to know, a lager is a beer usually stored a couple of months in cold temperatures for the aging process; lagers are normally less hoppy and carbonated than some beers and are bottom-fermented.
